TYRE AND RUBBER

General Description:

AKSIL grade of silicas are carefully tailored precipitated silica for use as a white reinforcing filler in Tyre and Rubber Industries. These are mechanically compacted granulate silica grade with optimum pressure in order that the silica particles are granulated to stay dust free during storage, transportation and mixing without compromising its dispersion characteristics in rubber compounding. Due to its granulation form, this grade has higher tapped density than the powder silicas.

Chemical Description:

AKSIL grades are chemically defined as SiO2 that are synthetically produced silicon di oxide.

Application Benefits:

AKSIL grade of silicas possesses a high reinforcing potential and it imparts high degree of hardness, tensile strength, tear resistance and abrasion resistance to the tyre and rubber compounds. The physio chemical properties are carefully chosen during the manufacturing process so as to provide optimum application benefits during the compounding process. Different grades are available with varying surface area to suit different compounding requirements. Please refer to the tabulation of physio-chemical properties shown here.

Storage Stability:

In order to ensure that the properties of AKSIL grade of silicas remain intact, our precipitated silica grades are required to be stored in closed and dry premises against exposure to volatile substances. Strict adherence to the storage conditions ensures prolonged usability. We generally recommend storage period of not more than one year with strict observance of storage parameters.

Product Safety:

Silica is an inert non-toxic white filler. Complete details regarding the product safety are available in our Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) which will be distributed at the time of supplies. We recommend that information regarding product safety of our silica grades may be obtained and carefully read prior to their use.
